From first glove test to paid rebuild

Modules run in the order a technician actually works: stay safe, understand the system, diagnose, recondition, rebuild, then get paid. Module 1 is free, and the hands-on modules unlock once you pass it.

Lessons that meet you where you are

A shop owner and a first-week apprentice need different explanations of the same pack. Each lesson rewrites itself for your level, then checks what you learned.

  • Pick a level once; switch any time per lesson
  • Quizzes with instant explanations after every lesson
  • Flashcards for specs you need to know cold
  • Notes saved beside each lesson

Symptoms and the customer interview

Good diagnosis starts by listening. Ask the customer what they noticed and when it started.

  • Warning lights: "Check Hybrid System," a red triangle, or check engine
  • Engine running much more than usual
  • Gas mileage dropped
  • Battery bars jumping quickly from full to empty
  • Weak acceleration, especially on hills
  • 24/7 AI tutor

Ask about a DTC, a reading or a weird pack. Answers come from the course material, in plain shop language.

  • Bench-test labs

Real block-voltage logs and capacity curves to analyze before you touch a live pack.

  • Certificate

Pass the final assessment to earn a completion certificate you can show customers.

  • English & Spanish

Every lesson available in both languages, so your whole crew can train.

  • Tech community

Post a stubborn pack, compare readings, and learn from other shops.

  • Business module

Pricing, warranties, NiMH hazmat shipping and core returns for a repair business.

Before you enroll

Do I need electrical experience?

No. Module 1 starts from zero and assumes nothing beyond basic tool use. You must complete the safety module before any hands-on lesson unlocks.

Which vehicles are covered?

The core labs use Toyota Prius Gen 2 and Gen 3 packs because they are the most common. Later lessons cover Camry, Highlander, Lexus and Honda IMA packs, plus an introduction to lithium-ion hybrid and EV packs.

Is online training enough to work on live packs?

No course replaces supervised hands-on practice. Use this as the knowledge base, then work under an experienced technician with rated PPE before going solo. Our two-day hands-on workshop is built for exactly that.

What tools do I need?

Class 0 insulated gloves, a CAT III rated meter, insulated hand tools, a scan tool that reads hybrid block voltages, and later a grid charger and discharger. Module 1 includes a full shopping list.
